bamboo sanctuary

Home to 21 bamboo species, the bamboo sanctuary was established in 2011 for environmental reasons, such as climate change mitigation and an erosion control mechanism. Located at St. Francis Xavier Seminary, Pacdal, Baguio City, one can marvel at the 17 temperate and four tropical bamboo varieties standing tall and making the place cooler amid the worsening increase in the city's temperature. This environmental project is a partnership between the Philippine Bamboo Foundation, Inc. and the Diocese of Baguio.
