Our Purpose

The Habitat is an environmental news platform for Baguio City and its surrounding areas. It is a collaborative effort of BA Communication students from the University of the Philippines Baguio.

As a team, our mission is to reinforce a sense of urgency in heeding environmental calls by informing the public of the latest developments and hindrances on the issues and providing them an avenue to raise their voices, to inspire people to initiate movements in their own ways regardless of scale and inculcate in them a renewed outlook toward the environment, and to contribute to the growing body of environment reportage by being firm in our stances and unbound to any political organization.
